Elizabeth Hunt Brockway is a Visuals Director and editorial storyteller based in New York. She leads visual strategy as the Editorial Visuals Director at The Daily Beast, overseeing photography, illustration, and design across platforms.
Her work has appeared in The Daily Beast, Vogue, AARP, Into The Gloss, i-D, and NPR. She has drawn and reported on a wide range of subjects, including the Trump presidencies, COVID-19, women’s rights, as well as broader coverage of American politics, pop culture, fashion and beauty, and sports.
Elizabeth holds a Master of Science from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and graduated with honors from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Prior to joining The Daily Beast, she was the first employee at Into The Gloss, where she helped lay the foundation for the launch of Glossier. She has also worked as a photographer and photo editor at Vogue.com and has served as an adjunct professor at Columbia Journalism School.
Outside of work, she can be found doting on her dog, Porkchop, lamenting the New York Rangers and Yankees, putting hot sauce on nearly everything, and reminiscing about the golden age of Nickelodeon.
